No Room for Hate.

There is no room within my heart
for revenge, fire or hate
there is no room within my mind
for any thoughts like these.

I cannot find the words to say
just how it is I feel
but I know from deepest hurt
I must forgiveness find.

The hurt that’s been done to us
cuts sore like a knife,
but we must not, repay in kind
what has been done to us.

Instead we must try and find
the way that is so hard,
and reach out our loving hands
to find some friendship now.

There can be no more healing thing
than opening wide our eyes
and seeing that most other folk
are really just like us.

This first poem was written in memory of all those that died in 7/7 but equally applies to those who lost loved ones in other tragedies....

First of all, I strongly stand for all peace loving Indian citizens to share this moment of solidarity and pray for the innocent departed souls to rest in peace.
If such of these violence and threat in Bombay generate us to feel anger and hatred within us or toward some others, definitely the conflict will continue and if we leave it, the terror campaign might increase. So at this instant,
Indian people must be really very wise and careful now! I hope they will practice the great thoughts of Matma Gandhi at this right time.
all peace and justice followers all around the world should share solidarity and stand up to get more united than ever in nonviolence and compassion, and also courageously determined to work together with peaceful strategies to end any form of violent extremism. I expect all our political and religious leaders of the world join to hands in hands at this moment, and take effective nonviolent actions to stop and prevent the spread of violence in our home world. May such violence never happen again!

Muchas gracias.

There are no words for this act, no excuses, nothing. Sheer violence. Let us pray for the victims and perpetrators too, after all they are very sad human beings!
Namaste!

As I always do when things like this happen, I look to where violence and hatred sit in me and try to do my best to heal it - be the change you wish to see in the world - THEN maybe the world will change.

The scale and planning needed for the Mumbai attacks indicate a higher level of political purpose than previous attacks in India on the Parliament or on train stations. It would seem that the aim is to damage symbols of India's economic growth, undermine investor and tourist-trade confidence and to destroy current small steps in India-Pakistan negotiations. Such an attack is a 'spoiler effort', unlikely to achieve their goals but requires concerted political action from both within India and from outside countries.

It's unbelieveable what human being can do sometimes....., but here we are today, praying for the good ones who left us and wishing that violence like this reach the end.
