Dear Everyone
I had a fantastic trip to Boston. My parents and I left last Friday morning and stayed at my brother's place in Arlington. He was gone on a vacation to the Pacific. I'd rather be in the Pacific because of the weather but this was fun, because in a way it was a virtual trip to warmer climates. We stopped for subs at D'Augustino's and I had a delicious meatball and cheese sub. The weather was fairly warm and there was hardly any snow on the ground despite the dire news we had heard on the weather report.
We visited the Boston Science Museum and the Omnitheater. It was fun watching the documentary about Arabia's history. It's a place that looks fun to visit but the heat and sand would wreak havoc on my body as I have asthma and allergies. I can't remember what we ate for dinner on Friday. I chatted online and read. My dad had brought his lap top and let me use it.
Saturday we slept in until about 9:00. I chatted on the web for awhile and answered emails. Then we visited the Museum of Fine Arts where canadian geese wandered around the front. I took a few pics of them with my new camera I had gotten for Christmas and of the displays inside, plus the butterfly exhibit. It contained live butterflies floating around in a heated area as if you were in a rain forest. I had to take off my coat it was so warm!
The butterflies were multicolored and beautiful. For lunch we ate at the museum's cafeteria. I ate chicken strips and fries. We had chinese food for dinner (orange chicken for me which was delicious). We saw an exhibit about Egypt and a tomb of some pharoah which I can't remember how to spell. It was amazing how well preserved the artifacts were. The only thing was the historical informatioin was slightly overwhelming.
In the afternoon I got a delayed Christmas present and chose three stones from a stone shop in Arlington. All in all it was fantastic and just what I needed because of the break up with my boyfriend had devastated me and I felt stuck in a rut.
