high treating and drying temperatures

These high treating and drying temperatures combined with the probable minor 2x6 plastic boardsplasticizing effect of PEG do result in some reduction of face hardness. Heartwood cannot be treated in this manner but could possibly be treated at room temperature over an extended wood plastic composite coating for outdoor woodperiod of time--perhaps as long as 90 days.

The very low shrinkage during drying would allow the original green lumber strips to be cut much thinner and narrower steel roof panel underdeckthan 1 by 3 inches resulting in appreciably higher yield from the log. Almost complete absence of warp and drying degrade would further increase the final yield of flooring.
