During the 1989 - 1990 eruption. (taken from a safe distance up the shore)
This was taken about 10 miles inland, I'm 3 miles inland.
We have many volcano's near where I live, this one is on the other side of the Cook Inlet from me.
Current information can be found here:
http://www.avo.alaska.edu/volcanoes/volcinfo.php?volcname=Redoubt
In event of ash cloud I will be offline to protect the computer due to ash being electrically conductive as well as potentially magnetically charged.
So Even if I'm okay, I wont be online until it is safe for the computer to do so.
Fine now, but I've monitored other local volcanoes during eruptions, and this one appears to be emanate, and would be in keeping with its eruption patterns (number of years between major eruptions).
We are at code orange.
There is green, yellow, orange and red, red means it is erupting or we are expecting it to happen within minutes.
