It hasn't stopped raining since last night. The day has been cold, gloomy and dark. It's the perfect invitation to cuddle up with a great book by the fire place to read. My readings are taking me as far as 1994 to Rwanda and the horrors of a horrifying genocide which unbelievingly enough, took place in the midst of the twentieth century.
However ,
"Left to tell" goes beyond the horrors of a miserable, unjustified war. It tells the story of 6 women who hid themselves in a tiny, small bathroom and in spite of it all, survived. It raises above the carnage to find the essence of the human spirit enduring to the end, finding peace and faith and lift themselves up to begin a new tomorrow.
It's here where I find the most amazing message of all: human beings have the capacity to embrace good in spite of all surrounding evil. One, has to just want IT from the most pure inner part of oneself. Deep inside her/his soul. Its all about ATTITUDE and LOVE and she/he can find her/his destiny under the universe.
