You are right about God, Rashad. But in my experience His providence generally comes from unexpected sources and does not come until the last possible minute. I think God uses our trials to help build our faith.
Rashad, this coming Sunday, May 24, I will be making an appeal for contributions for your work in one of the most peace oriented churches in Knoxville. We will see what happens. I do not want to raise your hopes too high. In the present economic recession, people in the United States have cut way back on their charitable giving. We are finding it very difficult to raise MSP funds. There will be better days in the future, but I know you need the funds now. We shall do the best we can.
Many of your brothers and sisters here in East Tennessee are praying for you and your coworkers, for your safety and for the ability to pursue your calling. Your country is at war and that means that as a peacebuilder you have the most difficult of all jobs, but also the most needed. May God bless you, bless you, bless you and keep on blessing you that you may be a blessing to all those suffering around you. I pray that you may be able to provide a safe haven for those caught in the storm of war. As I see it, you and all those who work with you are God's heroes.

To Mercy, Pity, Peace, and Love,
All pray in their distress,
And to these virtues of delight
Return their thankfulness.
For Mercy, Pity, Peace, and Love,
Is God our Father dear;
And Mercy, Pity, Peace, and Love,
Is man, his child and care.
For Mercy has a human heart
Pity, a human face;
And Love, the human form divine;
And Peace, the human dress.
Then every man, of every clime,
That prays in his distress,
Prays to the human form divine:
Love, Mercy, Pity, Peace.
It is my belief that religion is the root of evil in mankind. An excuse for separation, for taking everything, for damning those who are different, for wars, for starving, for control. Religion is control given over to a group. I was given self choice and control from God and these gifts are not for giving away. I respect you but wish you could see yourself as the son of god, as we all are, and that he is not the father of an only child. By claiming your faith you must by its doctrine believe all others lost forever. God could not disclaim any child for thinking any more than I could disclaim my sons.
Peace is the only belief without bigotry.
love,
Jerry Hanks
Hi Rashad
And you and your family would be most welcome to stay in my home in Perth. You know if we were doctor's we would be able to make the visits, tax deductible, or have a pharmacy company pay for the airfares? :) Peace be with you.
Warm regards
Kathyrn
Thank you for the good words and wishes. Please be specific about what is it you want to learn about and I promise to send you relevant materials about that subject-matter if I have any, as I hope I do.
Be well! - Olek
Hi Rashad
I have had a look around your website. It sounds like it is a very interesting and worthwhile work. I should imagine that you would get a lot of satisfaction from your job.
I have never been to Pakistan, and only hear of the problems to do with America and their war on terror and just about anything else in your part of the world. One of the big advantages of working in a hospital in Perth is that we have staff from many parts of the world, for example, doctors from Afghanistan, Egypt, Pakistan, India, Rumania and nurses and others from African countries, Scotland, Singapore and Malaysia and so on. It is a wonderful place to work for that reason alone.
Warm regards
Kathryn
Greetings Rashad
Thank you for your kind thoughts. I am not having an easy day to day so it was nice to receive your warm words.
What area of work are you in ? I work in our main psychiatric hospital and enjoy the work I do.
