Dear Rashad,
Your raised hand for friendship is most welcomed. I have carefully read your bio and see that you're a religious man or rather a man of great faith. I greet you for all the good that you bring with you, caring for others and donations. Well, Jesus, though born as a Jew, is not my messiah but I deeply respect all his believers. I am not religious but believe to get my strength from our G-d, nature and from the spirits of man. But all our ways lead somehow to the same goal of making peace, better understanding and solidarity.
My blessings,
care4u

Dear Rashad

Thanks for your response. Of the 3 choices I have - your personal email, your official email, and IPeace, which do you consider most secure? I do not want anything I say to get you into trouble with the authorities.. Following is the creed on which my work is based:

WORLD CITIZENSHIP CREED

As a citizen of the world...

I BELIEVE in the dignity of all humanity, that each person is a being of supreme worth.

I BELIEVE in the wholeness of the human race, undivided by economic, cultural, racial, sexual or national differences.

I BELIEVE in the stewardship of life and resources to the end that all may mutually benefit from the earth's bounty and that no person may have to go without food or shelter.

I BELIEVE in the primacy of human relationships as a person committed and responsible to other persons, regardless of their economic status, race, creed or nationality.

I BELIEVE in the global community, interdependent and mutually responsible for our physical and social environments.

I BELIEVE that we are One World and affirm that I am a citizen of this world. My allegiance to it and its people, my brothers and sisters, is primary over all other political entities.

I AM, therefore, committed to the promotion and care of the whole of humanity without partiality or prejudice and with such resources as I have at my command, both within and without.

I HEREWITH AFFIRM that I wish, as much as I possibly can, to base my actions on my beliefs and thus contribute to a world where justice and compassion rule and where greed and hatred are diminished.

Given the above creed, which is intentionally interfaith, would you be interested in affiliating with the Peacebuilding Institute. In practical terms, what that means is that you would have space on the Peacebuilding Institute website which is getting about 400 hits per day. There is no charge, and you would be free to put anything you want to about your organization and its work - programs, financial appeals, pictures, blogs, contact info, links to your own URL and others, etc. If you go to www.peacebuildinginstitute.org and click on International Affiliates you will see how others are using the website, some more effectively than others. Being an Affiliate means simply that we are working together for the cause of peace, supporting each other in whatever ways we can.

For starters, there is a workbook on Gandhian nonviolence that I would like to send you. Is the Pakistani mail delivery system dependable, or is there a better way to get a package to you? The book is "Engage: Exploring Nonviolent Living" We here in Knoxville, Tennessee currently have three groups studying the book. It is the best resource I have found to date for teaching the practice of nonviolence.

Also, let me know if you want to be affiliated with us. If so I will need an introductory paragraph about your organization plus whatever else you want to add to it.

Salaam

Jim

Hi Rashad,
Thank you for your comments! I love to teach anyone and everyone whatever I know about sustainable living. I still have much to learn, but I do love 'living my philosophy' as best I can! It is harder to teach at a distance, but if you have any specific questions, please ask and I will do my best to help.
peace, salaam, shalom,
Joanna

Dear Rashad
I am delighted to have you as my friend, especially since you are from Pakistan. I am curious. What is it like to be a Christian in a Muslim country? Here I have many Muslim friends with whom I get along well, but I suspect they may be more tolerant of Christians here, perhaps because they are a minority group.
Please check my website, and se if there may be some way I can help you in your work. Blessins. Jim

I too believe that it is faith that builds a resorvour of blessing inside that is evadenced by what we do. To look on those in need around and walk past as it not being my problem is not evadence of that faith.
That is why I care deeply and beleive yes we are each are brothers keeper wether they be white black brown or poka doted, wether they be hindu muslim or any religion or none at all. It is Chrtist`s commission to spread the good news but as james said "Faith without works is dead." It is because of gods love for us that we can love all as Christ loved us.Because Christ gave to us so freely we can do the same.
Thanks for sharing
