Brother Wayne,
Wow~! Wholly inspirational & radiantly expressive beautiful glass artwork. I've sat lost in time for hours simply mesmerized witnessing the creative talents of Artisan glass blowers. Heat, liquidizing molten elements creating colors, swirling, condensing, weeping, hooking and forming, cooling and reheating. All so gracefully manipulated both in and out of the fiery furnace. Always takes two working in tandem to move the material in this act of creation. Glass art work is a magnificent form of peaceful worship of natural earth beauty in every way. Such the creation. Thank you my friend for sharing what you recognize. peace out.

I am not disabled. The company I worked for ( a mental health agency) closed a year and a half ago. I might have been able to pick up a job at that time but so many agencies were struggling under the weight of cut backs that even for my former colleagues new jobs were cut in short order. At the very same time the agency folded, my great love was diagnosed with stage 3b cancer I opted to stay at home and do the hospice thing which was certainly the right thing. September 07 was a difficult month. But it was a bit of a blessing, I got to work more on my art. Things seem to be looking up and I figure to be working again soon. Good thing because the stash under my mattress is getting slim. I probably could keep this up for a few more months without suffering badly but after that I might have trouble keeping up with the bills. I'm pretty resourceful generally and having helped people get linked to resources professionally for 25 yrs, I know how to get by pretty well. I never shop in regular stores any way for clothes and I am all set for furniture and the like. But when machines such as cars, vacuums and computers break...well I'm a bit too spoiled to go without. I depends on what they are, I can be creative. ... and I'm also a very hopeful person.

Thanks so much Wayne for the picture. It is really very beautiful and full of energy. I teach English. I managed to visit Courtney’s page and she has so wonderful ideas. She is a teacher too. As you said , perhaps we can build a club for teachers! I also visited the Canadian Princess’ page and it is fabulous. You have such a nice family and you motivate the world to appreciate the value of family life. Thanks for your wishes and your dreams of world peace.
All the best:- )

Hi Wayne,

Thanks for the picture. What a beautiful and peaceful place! It is so kind of you to wish all people peace when you walk by that beautiful place. I have read your philosophy and it is something that I need to read every day to remind myself of the beauty of freedom. Both your homepage with iPeace and your personal website are awesome! I also like the music. It is relaxing and inspiring. I wish you all the best :- )

I am going put this in my blog but I dont think any one reads it:
Wayne Elkin a self described aging hippy posted a picture of a peace sign on a barn in Marin county on one of my sites.
Well far out. Hippy days are here again.
There is a new awakening in our country where a voice means more than going to the polls on election day and sitting back with your arms crossed over your chest. These extraordinary times call for a more than wait and see attitude. It is time to take it to the streets or to the internet shout it from the roof tops. We want change what does that look like? This is yes a peaceful revolution but in these times we can’t just elect leaders and leave them out there waiting for them to mess up we have to participate more and we have been offered that chance. I am afraid that your average citizen does not know what that looks like. For this they need to look back to when people were speaking out more visibly sit ins, marches, letter writing campaigns. Give your ideas flight. You have permission to engage in a true democracy. Carpe Diem . Yes now that the universal pendulum is swinging back to a more liberal and creative space, that decries the greedy excesses of top executives and the madness of senseless wars. Throw off weighty mantle of Ws fear driven regime and the decades of complacency.
Louise Dunlap in her book Undoing the Silence: six tools for social change writing likens these times and those of the early 60’s where people are once again finding their voice. When hope and change come to the fore empowerment and joy are definitely close behind. We can end the wars, we can bring respect for the arts back. We can build a greater sense of community.
The new optimism in the air has given us a new responsibility to speak to power and actually be heard. After all it is not exactly peaches and cream. The economy is far from pretty but our collective spirit is richer and unshackled. Fear does lurk in surprising places. There are many concerns and a lot of work to be done. It is up to us to help find solutions to situations that need to be set right. The people that we elected to represent us are just that. We are in charge of them they are not in charge of us. I think that we can move beyond our collective fears and repair injustices. It is a healing process for society as a whole.
While it is tempting just to ride this joyous wave while the energy is fresh. We must use this power to repair the damage and move to another level. It isn’t easy to change a nation, a world but now is a really good time to try. Once upon a time peace was not an outlandish notion and art was not a bunch of nonsense. That time is now.
Speak out speak up call your representatives tell them what you support. You are empowered.

Thanks Michael,
It is really nice here but sometimes nature evens the playing field we looking toward a draught. When we first moved here there was a seven year draught. Lawns were brown we all had water saving devices on our faucetts we were not encouraged to flush every time. It made many of us mindful of preacious water. Here is a little gift from Captain Wayne-O

Hi Wayne, thanks for your message and the lovely video you made. I'm really glad you have such a happy life with your family in Mill Valley, CA. It looks warm and sunny where you are - not like here in the the south-east of England, where we've had a lot of snow!

The glitches in my iPeace seem to be sorted, so I'll post you some pictures soon. By the way, the Star Trek themed pics are great; I'm a bit of a Trekkie myself so I could relate to the humour! :-))

Take care, Wayne, and peaceful wishes.

Michael

Thank you for your comment Wayne. What a fun page! Your house looks something like mine. People call it a tree house but it really isn't. Sure feels that way in the summer. I have been to Marin County a few times beautiful... one of the poems on my BLOG blog recalls my first brush with Marin county in the early 70s. Any way greetings from the east coast. I am suppose to fill out a financial aid stuff for my son but I might read your Blog blog first.

Hi you Space Humorist!
Read the Rancho Bozo philosophy. Please take a look at the group "Basic Income Guarantee — the End of Poverty". You might find it interesting and a key to peace and an idea for the future, money or not! Join if you like, and spread the word around to your friends. I also believe that it is time to change the whole monetary system, based on other values than now.
Peace & Joy
Ole

“I am now convinced that the simplest approach will prove to be the most effective — the solution to poverty is to abolish it directly by a now widely discussed measure: the guaranteed income.”
