I'm not anti-christian or anti muslim, im not anti anything, apart from anti war. I was just using Bush as an example. I understand there are christians in Palestine and Lebanon. I don't agree with Zionism, I think it is a very dangerous part of religion.

I hope that the criminals who do these crimes can be held accountable. I saw the UN wanted to investigate Israels blitz on Gaza, and Israel said no. How can they say no ? The last time somebody didn't do what the UN wanted was Saddam Hussein, and look what happened to Iraq. Israel are not above the law as they think they are. Their government has to be held accountable for what it has done to the Palestinian people. From 1948 up till the 1967 war and Lebanon and Gaza. UN resolution 242 says all Israeli troops must leave occupied territories and give back the land they stole in the 67 war. Why haven't they ? If you speak out against what they do you get called anti-semetic, which is stupid, if i don't agree with George Bushs war on terror, am i an anti christian ? I appreciate your comment Ahmed.

Ahlan wasahlan dear friend!
Thank you for inviting me to be your friend.
I want you to know that I do my music to bring peace between us.
I sing songs to heal the hearts of everyone.
I believe there is another way to end the conflict.
As a mother, I honor the life of every person in the world.
I don't believe we can end any conflict with battle.
That is what men have been doing for many generations, and we see it did not succeed!
It is time for the women to lead. If men will give us - women a chance, we will teach people how to make peace.
Ask women in the Gaza strip how they see life, and they will tell you.
I met women from Palestine, and I have a few Arab women friends in Israel.
We talk & learn about each other, and what I see is that we are all one.
It is possible to make peace this way.
I am very disappointed from the elections, and I hope it will not hold for long.
More & more people here are tired of wars, and just want to live peacefully, just like our sisters & brothers on your side.
WE ARE ONE
Ronit

Ahmed, each of us lives a story that we believe. Whatever we believe in will help us to create the life we yearn for - I believe with my whole heart that peace is possible and more, utterly necessary for all our brothers and sisters. We can create pathways of peace- and though I do not believe that it will be easy, we may if we will dare - to create new ways. No matter what other countries may say or do, it is our own heart held prayer that can make the change we dream of - please know that many people around the world and in Israel wish for peace and coexistence. Do you know of people/groups in Gaza who are dedicating their efforts toward helping?
Please do what you are able to do to bring a new story to your people and to Israel. In peace, salah, shalom Dale

Ahmed
I read some of your thoughts above, and appreciate that you wrote to me now.
How are you feeling about the experience of iPeace? I remember in the past I wanted to let you know I feel compassion for you and all people, especially people in such difficult situations as yours.
I hope you are finding some peace of mind, as they say in English.
I wish I could be more present, more involved, but at the moment I just cannot.
I try to help people to know one another by telling their personal stories. It is the most I can do at present. But my heart is with you and all who suffer. I hope you feel my compassion. Perhaps that is why you wrote to me?
Best of luck - in Italy they say "piano piano" slowly slowly, although it is hard to believe that that is the best way to solve problems most of the time.
I hope you feel the friendship and caring of people here. they cannot work miracles, but to know someone cares is a beginning, donìt you think?
Stay well
keep comunicating
with friendship

To Ahmed who has asked to be my friend - I am very touched my your connection. Please know that I have read your words and send these words back to you with my heart -

Because you are living in Gaza with all that has been hard, deeoly deeply hard, I will accept your friendship but with one condition! Please Ahmed, be the peaceful change you wish for - act, learn, give in such a way that all of our children will see peace in this world - the deep peace that comes from our desire - not to destroy each other - but to understand and create life with each other. Governments are only the names of groups of people - and each person lives with a heart. May your work be the dedication to helping warm and open the hearts of those who are close to you and those that may be far from you. Please be a peacemaker, Ahmad. If you are so given then to the path of peace, I give you my friendhip. Dale

WOW Ahmed, did you ever read the story of the Snow Queen by Hans Christian Andersen about the boy who had an ice crystal in his heart and in his eyes? Probably not, It is horrible when horrors and autrocities kill hope that is the worst death of all. I am sure it would be very hard to live in Gaza without losing my heart my mind my soul.
Any way, The women are there to make a statement and if they don't get in it will show the world how cruel and heartless the gatekeepers are. It is also an attempt to show you and your neaighbors that people really do care what is going on there. I hope that you recognize this.
My dear friend and fellow poet, to say that I am sorry for all that has happened can never be enough. Within this cynicism and sarcasm there can always be found a spark of hope because it is driven by passion and passion runs both ways.
I was going to send you an article fresh out of the paper for your input, but you can't recieve mail maybe you aren't on my friends list.

My dear Ahmed. This is a very big and diverse country. We have 50 senators and I really have lost track of how many representatives in the US house of representatives. I know in my rural state we have two. These politicians are suppose to represent the will and voice of the people. The president flavors the direction the country goes in he doesn't have absolute power. You probably know all this. So when you say Carter didn't do anything. He actually did not have a lot of power. The senate was against him. Of course, like in all places there is sadly corruption in addition to the varying input of the citizens here.My friends and I are hoping that the citizens will take more of an interest now with the many crisises here and abroad. Please be well, it is hard to rise above your situation and be hopeful after all these years. I will continue to write letters to the politicians and send what I can for Gaza and Palestinians. You did not answer my question about code pink. The woman sitting at the gaza/egypt gate.

Hey Ahmed,
Alan was kidnapped by "Army of Islam"; witch is the satellite organization of al-qaeeda In Gaza. They have a founded collaboration with hamas & even thought to unite with them when Gaza had been controlled by the Fatah. The release of Alan came after the pressure of haniya, but he has done it only because it damaged his image as a controller in Gaza. Before he gained power, they kidnapped together foreigners in order to show the world that the Fatah cant control Gaza. It is sad that you bought this show; I know a lot of Palestinians who didn’t.
When you called the majority of the Israelis "radicals" (& I am among them) you should remember that we can disagree, but when people think that the only way to act is violence- they are radicals, not when the other side isn’t agree with you.
As a Zionist, I leave & work for the existence of a Jewish state. When you claim for the "right of return" of Palestinians in to Israel, you actually call for the destruction of my state. Maybe we can think about creative plans for giving Palestinians the right of return & the continuation of a Jewish state, but if you cant understand the idea of two state solution, Palestinian & Jewish one, you can understand great Israelis who oppose the existence of a Palestinian state- after all, you think in the same direction.
The last war was a shameful one, but it didn’t begin in the December 27, but years ago when hamas was shelling rockets annually on us & no one was care. You remember the same as me the era after the disengagement: the crossing were open but the rockets didn’t stop. Olmert met with president Abbas & he started with a good will act by releasing of Palestinians prisoners, 350 in number. It pissed off hamas, It looked like ABU Masen can do what they didn’t succeed. After 3 days Gilad Shalit was kidnapped, the prisoners release plan had been stacked & the borders are close since then.
I would like you to answer me on one question: here in Israel we protest against the government actions in Palestine, but I haven’t seen one protest in Gaza, or any in the Arab state, against the terror of hamas against civilians. If you have any excuse, sick as it be, for the rockets shelling- you are really don’t interest in peace. These rockets, who murdered Israelis children way before the last war, cant be justify & I don’t even understand what do they gain from that.
An interesting thing you'll be amuse to read: you wrote that Israel wants to kill you all & therefore you need to resist. That is the same, but the same arguments I got from Israelis, which I tried to convert from voting to "Yisrael Beitenu"- Libeman (the Palestinians want to kill us all & therefore we must elect a stiff leader).

Alan Johnston was kidnapped by hamas militias & had been released by hamas- does it makes hamas novel? Yes, in the middle hamas attacked the Fatah & gain the power on Gaza. When Fatah was in charge, they made every action for unstabilize Gaza. Now when they succeed- do you consider it in their favor? I am sorry, I don’t get you. For the Israeli professor you have mentioned, he had been kicked out from there at the minute he called hamas to release Gilad Shalit, when he came back to Israel, he told how the Gazans he met condemned the hamas regime & the only thing they want is peace.

In your last post you wrote about the Israeli decision, a war decision. You are very right about the racism of "Yisrael beitenu" party, who got 12.6% votes (which means 15 seats in the Knesset). I am just wondering if you'll say the same thing on the Palestinians who voted by 63% to hamas- a party who calls for the distraction of Israel, who actively shoot rockets on Israeli civilians & that paragraph 7 in their manifest call to murder each Jew, one by one, even if he asks for mercy. You wrote about the fiscal motives that brought Gazans to vote for hamas. I don’t know any country which evolves in conflict that its citizens go to vote only by financial motives. People in Israel voted to the far-right parties because of hared, because of racism & Palestinians?

The solution will come from people who think how to neutralize this hatred, not from people who'll try to justify themselves & tarnishing the other.
