Dear Velcrow,
having read so much about you in the past months, I feel deeply honoured to receive a friendship request from such a celebrity. Thank you!
Since you strongly advocate the opening of our hearts to ourselves through activating our natural born compassion, I hope that my blogs on Global Wisdom, Self-Love and Self-A.WAR.eness may inspire you perhaps for one of your projects, perhaps the FierceLight one, in order to help turn the "dead-end" fast-left-lane highway into new beginnings of bella vista spiritual mountaineous country roads... ;-))
I loved all of your comments... what a blessing you have you here expanding the light of our planet with love, compassion and truth... I just saw the Sufi Dervishes from Turkey at UT and it was wonderful... I meditated the whole time while they enacted the higher energies of the universe... it was awesome.... blessings, love and laugher... Jewell Yalermai!!!
Thank you for adding me to your group of friends. I look forward to watching your videos and getting to know you and all my new friends here at Ipeace. It is wonderful to find a forum about peace and understanding and love. I am so glad you are here with us. You have much to share.
Thanks for extending friendship VR. Ram Dass wrote Be Here Now in 1968 or so, and I love his more recent book--Still Here-written about aging --before and after experiencing a stroke. Elizabeth Lesser describes her meeting with Ram Dass after the stroke (he was a friend of hers) she describes how before the stroke she saw the 'good' and 'bad' Ram Dass. After the stroke there is a third Ram Dass, whom she recognizes has always been there, but she has never seen so clearly. She greets him with Hello I am home--her responds very slowly now since the stroke--Yes you are home.
I love you.
I love your page.
I love your respect for life
I love how you cherish the day
I love how you smile
I love how your smile, makes those who don't, question their own answers when they see in you something in themselves they are missing.
I am sorry about your uncle Bob,
Yet smile that you see in the loss of life,
just cause to not waste it nor take it for granted,
but to seize the opportunity to shine with all you have,
in honor of those who pass on, I seek to do the same,
and not so much morn them not being here,
because there too, I know they would not want me to spend much time
that I have such a limited supply of, in sorrow, but to live, with every single ounce of my being, as they would also want me to do, for them.
That is to me, to walk the path of a warrior.
For every moment of life, to live and love and learn and grow and share,
with all that I am.
I love you!
Many thanks, Velcrow. I think it would be a tremendous contribution to the iPEACE site . . . and through that hopefully another baby step forward towards peace.
Hello Velcro the Activist from Jesse (from Galiano-now in Vancouver) the Pacifist (not passivist). Great to see you here! Kudos on all your work!
It's happening. More spiritual times ahead.
Velcrow--a very beautiful blog posting today. Thank you! I have a question: One segment in Scared Sacred involves parents--Israeli and Palestinian--of slain children who have chosen to share their grief and work together towards peace. Because of my background--family members perished in the holocaust--I found it especially moving. Given the current crisis in Gaza, I wondered if there was any possibility of sharing just that section of the film on iPEACE. I would love to post it as a short video clip in the Israel-Palestine peace group here, as I think it might open some hearts and inspire people.
Many thanks.
peace, salaam, shalom.
Wonderful page Velcrow Ripper--Just finished a book--Broken Open by Elizabeth Lesser who is also working with the themes you mention. You may know it, but if not you may want to take a peek. Namaste
