hi Dear thank you very much for ur lovely sms as talk about Tibet and before you did lots about peace for Tibetan People which i keep it in my mind so far also you contineus to do a lot of work on World peace.
Maryse,
Thanks so much for sharing with me. I'm sorry to hear that the schools are still so regimented there. I remember watching children come out of a classroom like soldiers in single file and very serious. I also remember a high rise office building in Tokyo at 12 noon. I sat on a park bench and watched several hundred men run out... all dressed in suits alike. They shed their coats on a park bench and ran onto a plain baseball diamond and played or cheered for exactly 20 minutes. Then a bell rang, they grabbed their coats and ran back into the building. It was almost like a hive-mind. The regimentation of life there must be satisfying and secure-feeling for some, but for a creative person, I would think it would be quite stifling. Is individuality rewarded in the schools... maybe in art or music class? I suppose it's overrated in the states. I understand why you would stay there... family, beauty, history, a unique place in the world... and maybe not as attractive opportunities here. There's always the dogs too. Actually, it sounds like a wonderful experience. I pray you feel satisfied and pleased.
Peace and Love,
papaed
I'm happy to be your friend. Teaching English in Japan sounds like a challenging job. What age are your students?
Are all three dogs in the pic yours?
I finally found a map showing Miyazaki on the island of Kyushu. So the city was only started in 1951? I'm trying to imagine it. There are a lot of pics on line in addition to yours.
Peace and Love,
papaed
What beautiful pics of a beautiful family in many wonderful places! I visited Japan for 10 days in 1969 (leave from Vietnam). It has changed tremendously. Happy to see you here.
Peace and Love,
