John Lennon and Yoko Ono used their honeymoon at the Amsterdam Hilton, in March 1969, as a "Bed-in for Peace" that attracted world-wide media coverage. At the second "Bed-in" in Montreal, in June 1969, they recorded "Give Peace a Chance" in their hotel room. The song was sung by over half a million demonstrators in Washington, D.C. at the second Vietnam Moratorium Day, on 15 October 1969.

A big hello to everyone. I'm Raj from Singapore and a big fan of the Beatles and in particular John Lennon. His songs, messages and commitment to Peace left a lasting impression on me and inspired me to become an advocate of peace. I'll do my best to contribute to this site. Love, peace and light.
