John Lennon and Yoko Ono used their honeymoon at the Amsterdam Hilton, in March 1969, as a "Bed-in for Peace" that attracted world-wide media coverage. At the second "Bed-in" in Montreal, in June 1969, they recorded "Give Peace a Chance" in their hotel room. The song was sung by over half a million demonstrators in Washington, D.C. at the second Vietnam Moratorium Day, on 15 October 1969.

This group is dedicated to a shining star of iPeace ~ Beverley Anne Jones

Some things you might not understand until you are older, Imagine01, but if you are already aware, as I was, it will add much depth to your life. Listen for the music, even in nature.

I have a feeling you have been born into a generation that will be even more exciting than that generation. Hopefully the generation that actually GETS what John was trying to teach us. So many of my generation seem to have forgotten and have become Yuppies, seeking greed and materialism.

Music has lost much of it's depth of meaning in recent years. Kenny Loggins was popular for awhile, but most people only concentrated on his bubble gum movie music and didn't delve into the heart behind his music. Here is a good example that follows John's basic vision:

This Steve Miller song too.

This one of Steve Millers is fairly important and follows along the lines of what John Lennon was trying to promote:

I also consider it one of my theme songs since my Cherokee name is Space Eagle.

The other must important song of the last 40 years would be Steve Miller's Space Cowboy and the New Way he said he found in it.

Hope you can see how they both tie together.
