Peace from Within

I shut my eyes in order to see.

In the middle of the journey of our life I came to myself within a dark wood where the straight way was lost.
Dante Alighieri

Our innermost room

There is a door that rarely opens
It’s too fare away from eyes to see
We have to search for a chance to find it
And we have to enter to be free

It I could carry You

And the Child whisper in heart and soul
Yes you can

Carry Me...

So, like a forgotten fire, a childhood can always flare up again within us.

Gaston Bachelard

But who is this our inner Child?

The little one that can make us both laugh and cry

In most people i see this child and that inspires hope.
As long as this part of us  is still active and show itself and its desires, we are alive. But if we lock the door and throw the key away we will loose ourselves.
So let us stay close to it and to life *smile*

What we are looking for, we are looking for outside. And where did so many say it was? Within. This is not a small thing.
That which we are searching for is within us. We may call it God, we may call it happiness, we may call it peace, or we may call it true love. All of these things are names of only one thing. And ...this thing can be found within.”Maharaji♥ •º°☆.(¯`v´¯.☆•º°

The
little space within the heart is as great as the vast universe. The heavens and the earth are there, and the sun and the moon and the stars. Fire and lightning and winds are there, and all that now is and all that is not. -The Upanishads♥

If we have the power to make such a mess out of this earth,
then certainly we have enough power to bring peace to this earth, too.
The question remains whether or not it is something
that we want to do, because peace begins with every one of you.
It is individual human beings who need peace;
...it is individual human beings in whom the desire resides;
and it is on the individual human being’s stage that peace needs to dance.Maharaji ♥ .•º°☆.(¯`v´¯.☆•º°

Welcome Marieemma

This is not exatly a new group. Some is from the old one "The Child Within"

But I have less words here :)
and I also search for the connection between this inner child and our soul, and if so how do they relate to one another.

There is so much to say and write about this inner child as you have shown in your group. But I leave that for comming discussions.

Thanks for joining *smile*

Welcome Sunrise

I love the title on the video above ; " If I could carry you"
It is so poetic and so filled with tenderness.

Isn't it exactly how we feel for our children, when we want to protect them from all sorts of harm, if we could carry them

I wish we could feel the same tenderness for that little one, we already "carry" within us ...*smile*

Thanks Des for your explanation, even if it is a bit difficult for many of us in the West to follow. We maybe have closed that natural connection to nature. And therefore missed something here *smile*

Hello Gunilla, well, am no expert on it, so I can only explain as best I understand it. Shamanism pre-dates all religion and has its origiins in places like Siberia and South America. I think everyone who can visualize in their minds eye can go on shamanic journeys.

Shamans are like witch doctors (healers), who enter states of non-ordinary reality through the use of drumming, trance, or the use of psychedelic plant (spirits) such as peyote or ayuhuasca (found in S. America). A trained shaman can enter that state, and detect illness and disease in the body, and then uses the plant spirits to assist him/her to remove the disease.

I think in the West its a little different though, as so many of us have left nature, and the shamanic path for Westerners is a little different.

We can take visualization journeys in out minds eye, entering different realities, and learning wisdom to bring back to the physical world to help ourselves or other people - this is my experience so far with it. *smiles*

I do not know so much about Shamanism, So I can neither condemn or say amen, but I'm willing to read and learn more.
I think somewhere that openness is the royal road to all changes

If we think that we already have all the answers , we are lost, since there is no more to learn. A tragedy for the world

Since we are just at the beginning of our human understanding...*smile*

I don't think they have any earz either Gunilla...letz give them sum arms and a body and some ears...but then..maybe they are happy like that..so who are we to change it.

Yup...you're right Gunilla, no one has the answers. I know no one who does. We all have different maps n descriptions, some better some not so better...mine is definately getting to be quite interesting recently, with learning shamanism, Reiki, and now, learning about crystal healing...:):):)

I love your questions..,

Thank you Des.

For trying to give your version. I so appreciate that we try *smile*. We surely all have an idea, but is demands some guts to share these with others. But there must be space for those who think loud :) like you and me *smile*

Doesn't matter since no one has the answer anyhow.

The drawings. It's interesting that children make no whole bodies. Just legs, arms and head. But this child hasn't drawn any arms ?
Didn't see that until now *smile*

Thank you once again Des...
