From November I will be travelling again as Manali is too cold in winter. So you are in Kozhikode! Had a bad experience there - in fact I lived in Kerala for a while and would dispute the 'God's own country' slogan. This being tourist board jargon. But liked the phone call story - very Indian. Really the whole world is God's - if only we would wake up - realise that what we want is within us and have our own personal line to God and then maybe we would stop persecuting other people and stop destroying this planet.
I like what you write about India (or rather Mark Twain) - the cradle of civilization. I'm afraid that is being destroyed rapidly in favour of fast food Americanism. I'm writing a book about the India I love, before it is totally destroyed.
