I have carried the UN flag down the middle of Market Street in San Francisco-my birth city-during a parade.
And I have also written to Congress many times on the subject of human rights and justice--to use my taxes for good rather than for violence.

'It is tact that is golden, not silence.' ~ Samuel Butler
'Tact is the ability to make a person see lightning without letting him feel the bolt.' ~ Orlando A. Battista
A delicate state of affairs often requires a diplomatic response. A precise gesture or gentle word can diffuse these stressful situations. Make a habit of thinking twice before speaking once. Once spoken, words are very difficult to…
Why are seas not tranquil
and skies so turbulent
when is it that the lion stopped roaring
and there was misgiving that peace has
woken from its slumber. why is it we abrogate
it into realms of vapidity, and honour the violent
why is agression, belligerence so preferred
and love deferred?
The dove is soaring
and plumbing depths of eternity
while we weep for mortality
Shout peace to the world
bravo, throw all the… Continue

(This is a poem by Manuel Freire. Its original version - in Portuguese Language - is called Pedra Filosofal, and was turned into a song. Music is one of the prime forms of art (and heart too)

This point is you.
The point where every emotion is born…

Love... what is it? Is love giving money to 2 orphan boys in a foreign country who approached you while you were eating your lunch? Or is love bartering hard for their trinkets and getting the lowest possible price because you know that they HAVE to learn this skill well to survive in that place... and after you have made your buy, giving them your lunch because you see the hunger in… Continue

You, me, us, them

Let me see the dream behind your eyes.
What would happen if I left my family behind?
Has it all been a search for lies.

What our world comprises of and how do we make our life more contented.
What is our world made up of, who makes our world? People around us whom we care for and who love us or just everyone living around us. Let’s look into the matter and find out...
When we are born we look up to our parents for everything, all our needs and desires are fulfilled by them whether material or emotional so our parents mean the world to us, everything revolves around them and we know they will not… Continue
Fear is all around us, unlimited fears which are internal like fear of being alone, loneliness, being abandoned, fear of losing our loved ones and external like materialistic fears and fear of height, darkness, water and above all fear of death.
Fear has become a part of our being, many of us have the fear of being attacked, going out in crowds and with so many unpleasant incidents taking place all around, so many terrorist attacks and bomb blasts, some unavoidable circumstances like… Continue
The chevaliers, the night falling dim,
The vast open space, the golden sand,
The sharp sword with firesome gleam,
The bow whose arrows left my hand,
The papers as many as they seem,
My pen itself that would never dry or land,
The light of every heart, the very gentle beam,
The wise of his time, the coarse of the band,
My beloved lady above who’d esteem,
The place where we were to be and…Continue
