Dear Aaron,
If I had one day left
To tell you what I understand
And know as my truth,
I would say
To love
In the face of everything,
Even when it hurts,
Even when you’re scared
Because love heals all.
I would tell you
To listen more to your experiences
And your feelings
Than what people may tell you.
Or what may be written as
the truth.
Although, never disregard free advice—
Act merely as a…

THIS IRON AGE HAS TO GO...THE GOLDEN WILL DESCEND. THE WORLD WILL SUBMERGE, BUT INDIA WILL REMAIN.
THE WORLD SUPER POWERS WILL FIGHT, THE RIGHTEOUS WILL DISPLAY THEIR SPIRITUAL MIGHT.
THE FORMER WILL PERISH, THE GOLDEN AGED ANGELS IN INDIA WILL RELISH.
THE SINNERS WILL SIN MORE AND MORE, THE DIVINE YOGIS WILL ASCEND WITH THEIR DAILY CHORE. GOD WILL THEN SAY GOOD-BYE, LEAVING THE RIGHTEOUS TO ENJOY.

I am reading Mohandas Karmachand ("Mahatma")Gandhi's Biography in English right now. He lived and worked in South Africa a lot.
Gandhi has long been one of my "heroes", along with Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King. I got interested in Mahatma Gandhi's work about the same time as I started working politically for the abolishment of Apartheid (this is when I was 14 or so, in the change over from 80's to 90's).
I know this was about a hundred years ago, what he is talking…

The key to peace in Gaza remains cessation of Iranian arms supplies to Hamas. It was therefore encouraging to hear leaders of six European countries -- France, Britain, Germany, Spain, Italy and Czech Republic offer -- in Egypt and Israel -- to provide troops and technical assistance to prevent Hamas from smuggling weapons and terrorists into Gaza. French President Sarkozy said "the EU would never harm the…

Let’s honor our own unity by declaring
“National Immigrant Day”
Tuesday Jan. 19th, 2009
President Barack Hussein Obama
1600 Pennsylvania Ave. NW
Washington DC 20500
Dear Mr. President Obama:
Like millions of Americans and millions more around the ever-shrinking globe, I, too, proudly watched the historical moment when the dream of Dr. King become a reality. Dream was however much bigger than Dr. king or any man could possible imagine. It was…

Years ago, when I was a young mother I was inundated with chain letters which proclaimed some magical pyramid scheme to get lots of money ($1. at a time), or a lifetime of kitchen towels etc. Those letters always bothered me, even though I loved my friends that would send them to me. One day I received one with such a negative warning about what would happen to me if I chose to not participate, that I wrote a Non-chain letter and sent it to…

Why am I here?
Peace is important to us all.
We all want peace.
But at the same time it is also such an abstract concept.
I am an activist who likes to see things happen.
I don't mean, manning the barricades, done that - been there.
I went through many years wanting to burn and kill and shoot
No it is time for us all to stop talking and awaken ourselves.
To look at very action every word and see what we, in ourselves, are…

Peltier's Status :)
As you know, word was received on January 20 that Leonard Peltier
had been attacked very soon after his transfer to USP-Canaan in
Waymart, Pennsylvania.
Family members received a phone call from Leonard on January 22. He
was jumped by young gang members. He's been put in solitary, he says,
and won't be released again into the general population. He was told
by the FBI that he was the victim in the attack, the proof of this
being…

"Our sorrows and wounds are healed only when we touch them with compassion"
~ Buddha
"When I stand before thee at the day's end, thou shalt see my scars and know that I had my wounds and also my healing."
~Rabindranath Tagore
We live in a moment of great changes. Our Planet was never in such need of healing and restoration as it is now. A curative energy comes from inside, when we finally awake to… Continue

If you give up,then what kind of message do we send to the ones who watch and listen to what we say!?The ones who don't give up are the ones who know the struggles all to well and know that it is going to be hard.I know that path I am on is a long and hard one to travel,I have climbed many mountains literally in Alaska and have been in the roughest waters in the world,I have come close to drowning on several occasions but not once did I ever feel like giving up.I lost my parental rights to one…

We all wish and want, only the best and when we don't get it we often ENVY the ones who do get all that they want!
What if you got all that you want, would you still want more!?I think so,it is something we become after awhile and we never seem to think about it
Our children grow up with the same things that we wanted and go through the same disappointments as well
GREED

The old spiritual mantra of Be Here Now needs up dating. Spiritual teacher Andrew Cohen, suggests this one: "do here now." Be Here Now was about stepping into the depth of our Being, truly becoming present, inhabiting this moment, tasting it to the fullest. It's what Ekhart Tolle teaches in such classics as "the power of now." And it is a tremendous starting point. But then what? As Gwen, here on ipeace, recently asked me, "is the purpose of…

Being ill is a choice. It is also a defense, but against what?
You bring illness to yourself when you are afraid to know yourself - so you're defending against self-recognition. Some aspect of you is calling out your attention - essentially to remind you of who you really are - yet, would you run for cover instead of sitting still a moment? Fear that you might discover something about you that you don't want to see pervades sometimes so profoundly that it may even seem like you're…

Dearest friends,
Here i am again.
The war is over (for now), the bombs have stopped for the moment.
I am feeling sad, my heart is heavy, i juggle desperation and tentative hope.
I spend many sleepless nights in front of the computer screen looking for answers, for information, for knowledge.
Sometimes i read things that open my eyes.
I read an interview with doctors from Gaza who spoke to Italian journalists and claim the death toll is…
