Since I grew up in a time when it was ok for people to harrass and ridicule the others of different color or status,I have learned how to be more then compassionate to the others who have been in the situation that I have been in!
I chose not to pass this on to my own children and have allowed them to decide who they want to be around!I DID NOT TAKE THAT AWAY FROM THEM!!
HUMANITY is what this and other countries lack,
for one another(This includes their own people)and for all of…

Below is a conversation that I have been having with a gentleman on myspace about Israel and the Palestinians conflict! He is so much into supporting the Israeli's that he condones the killing of childtren(said it to me in an earlier corospondence)! If you start from the bottom and work your way up,that is the starting of the whole conversations.
As for my questions about the weapons getting into Gaza,he never responded, only keeps talking about Israel andthe Bible! The first paragraph is the…

ONE.org: Thank President Obama
Dear James,
More than 100,000 ONE members signed our petition to Barack Obama, asking him to make a strong statement about global poverty in his inaugural address. And he did exactly that, saying:
To the people of poor nations, we pledge to work alongside you to make your farms flourish and let clean waters flow; to nourish starved bodies and feed hungry minds. And to those nations like ours that enjoy relative plenty, we say we can no…

I'm standing in a line. People in front of me pull off their jewelry, drop their belts, unlace their shoes.
I'm waiting for the security check at LAX airport. Thinking how I'm not in the mood to undress myself in front of this TSA dude (TSA=Transportation Security Administration). Then a guy in his late thirties and trendy pink turban walks through the detector. Beep. The TSA guy gives him instructions. Guy with turban doesn't understand. The TSA guy repeats. Still communication is…

I just wrote a little observation in the story group about how I was as a young girl. Does it hold true with each and every adult that we are as we are due to what we learned at a young age? How much of our character really was formed from our very eary years? Would some of this hold true even now, when looking at world events and trying to understand our enormous differences between people of different nations??

Sometimes its easy to feel overwhelmed by the bad things in everyday life. Its easy to do. But instead of sitting back and feeling sorry for someone just do something small. I used to regret that I am not able to send a lot of money to charities, or go overseas and actually help in person. But there are many things a person can do without even really trying.
Here are some ideas Ive recently experienced:
If you dont litter, cheers to you. If you do, stop!

"The energy that is you seeks the purpose of every linear life that it creates. We often are asked the purpose behind the creation of one's physical self. The intent of existence [is] often lost amongst the multiple confusing dramas created by the ego of the physical.
The muddled energy behind all these dramas sends mixed messages to the conscious self creating…

Combatants for Peace is a group of Israeli and Palestinian individuals who were actively involved in the cycle of violence in the region.
The Israelis served as combat soldiers in the Israel Defense Forces and the Palestinians were involved in acts of violence in the name of Palestinian liberation.
They all used weapons against one another, and looked at each other only through weapon sights; however today they cooperate and commit themselves to…

Our Mind as a Drug
We want to feel the world,
If it's Happiness, Joy, Love and Peace,
And if it's Fear, Anger, Hatred and Jealousy.
Our nature is to feel what is happening,
Our nature is to be in the emotion when it arises.
The amount of energy which arises is infinite
And yet…
We learn from an early age to suppress certain emotions,
We learn from an early age to suppress the emotions
Which our society declares and…

What is PEACE? Is it something that exists and we have to find it? Is it something that is within us and we have to tap it? If so, how do we then relate to the peace that lies within others? What is a "peacemaker". These peacemakers, people who work for word peace, are awarded annually with a Nobel Peace Prize. Yet, even they are many times not considered "perfect" when it comes to Peace and how others see them as people in a real world. Ghandi once said: "There is no way to Peace, Peace is the…

Never be fearful to express your thoughts freely
For the world grows richer with such acts of bravery
Clasp your pen firmly and scribe away as the muse
Helps to enable you to reveal all your views
Regrets are for leaving in lines on the sand
When all that they taught us we can understand
We must always step forwards to travel through life
As to linger or retreat will hold us in strife
So bring forth your feelings in words or in paint

LET'S STOP THE NUCLEAR PORK IN THE STIMULUS PACKAGE!
January 30, 2009
Dear Friend,
As you probably know by now, the economic stimulus package approved by the Senate Appropriations Committee includes up to $50 Billion in new taxpayer loan guarantees that can be used for construction of new nuclear reactors and "clean coal" plants (an oxymoron if there ever was one...). We need to…
